Melissa Goldstein, MS, CCC-SLP, TSSLD, LSVT-C, WDP, COM®, CBS, has completed intensive coursework in Orofacial Myology in 2015 through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate. Melissa has earned three Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA for her extensive training.
Melissa values a family-centered and interdisciplinary approach to treating individuals with speech, feeding and myofunctional issues. She collaborates with lactation specialists, dentists, orthodontists, ENT’s, bodyworkers, and tongue tie providers to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
Melissa is a founding board member of the Pediatric and Adult Airway Network of New York and an active member of IAOM and ASHA.
From 2009 to 2016, Melissa served as a Senior Speech Pathologist and graduate student supervisor at New York Neurogenic Speech-Language Pathology, PC. She has extensive experience treating individuals with neurogenic communication disorders, including apraxia, dysarthria, and aphasia. Melissa is an LSVT LOUD® and Guardian NMES® certified therapist.
Education
Melissa earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hunter College.
